The IORI provides a depository for Odonata specimens, offering full curatorial services, as well as a library and archive for personal historical Odonata data and notes of deceased or retired Odonata specialist worldwide.
The IORI assists in the curation of the FSCA Odonata collection. Within the FSCA collection is the IORI collection, which is being reorganized to be more of a representative collection which will allow researchers the ability to look at an entire genus in one drawer instead of having to pull a number of drawers out of the much larger FSCa collection.
